Introduction

This Certified Event Planner Course is for participants who are interested in the practical aspects of event and meeting management, including research, design, planning, coordination, and evaluation of events and meetings of various types and sizes. The focus is on acquiring skills and competencies for a successful career as an event management professional.

Objective

This CEP course covers major elements of the event management functions and it is a competency-based programme. Participants will be certified as a HRM SKILLS Certified Event Planner on completion of all six modules. HRM SKILLS Certified Event Planner is one who is competent in aspects of planning, organizing, leading and controlling of resources for an event.

This course is designed to benefit participants who are:

Starting a new career as an event planner.

Interested in enhancing their event management/planning skills.

Responsible for planning and facilitating meetings and events for their organizations, profit or non-profit.

Volunteer or in charge of volunteers for special event activities.

Wishing to gain a big picture awareness of the event industry including seminars, conventions, conferences, exhibitions, special events, etc.
