Anger Management

Introduction

Anger is a normal response when we don't get what we want. However, frequent and intense outbursts of anger or anger that is kept inside and left to fester, can lead to many deleterious emotional and physiological effects. This in turn can lead to a loss of effectiveness when dealing with the challenges we face at work and in our lives.

This program will help you identify the range of emotions involved in your feelings of anger, the root causes of these emotions and how to deal with the triggers that bring about feelings of anger, resentment or other negative emotions that are getting in the way of you leading a happier more effective life.

You will also be taught a variety of simple yet effective techniques for eliminating or at least significantly reducing the emotional intensity of the negative psychological and physical reactions to your triggers for frustration and anger, thereby enabling you to deal more effectively with the situations that are causing you anger.

Anger if left unchecked, in the long term, can result in hypertension, deterioration of the immune system, extreme frustration, disillusionment, resentment, loss of motivation, and can eventually lead to burn out and depression.
