Effective Telemarketing Skills

Introduction

TELEMARKETING is a powerful means of marketing via telephone. It is about promoting products and services to prospects by pitching to them directly and usually with the use of a call script. Scripts are crafted upon understanding the nature of the products or services wanting to promote via telemarketing.

Using the telephone can be a very effective sales tool. However, to do telemarketing requires careful planning, a well crafted script, regular training, call auditing and call monitoring. An experienced supervisor would usually adopt techniques used in a previous campaign to plan new ones. By reviewing past campaigns, repeating the same mistakes can be avoided and new improved techniques can be introduced and lead to better telemarketing results every time.

Telemarketing brings one closer to the customer in a very personal way. Almost immediately, one can generate leads, qualify prospects, and reinforce that "desire to buy" from prospects. The results are almost immediate!
